Vascular Surgeon

Our client has an urgent need for locums Vascular Surgeon to join their facility in the Johnson City Metro Area for a call coverage only.

Requirements:

• M.D. or D.O. acceptable.
• Must be Board Certified
• Fellowship required. Surgeons with recently completed fellowships considered on a case-by-case basis.
• MUST have Tennessee medical license. Candidates who are currently working in the Tri-Cities area or within a 30-mile radius of the Tri-Cities of Bristol, Kingsport, Johnson City, TN region will NOT be accepted.
• Excellent communications skills required.
• Trauma and endovascular competencies preferred.  Not required.

Practice Details:

• Practice Setting: Both inpatient and outpatient
• Coverage Type: Call Only
  • Call Type: In-House
  • Call Response Time Required: 20 minutes
  • Call Ratio: 1:1
  • Locums call is for both assigned and unassigned patients
  • Average Call Numbers per 24 Hours
    • Phone Consults: Average 15-30 per day
    • Patients Seen: Up to 10 per 24 hours
    • Admissions: Admissions and consults
• Hours/Shifts: Monday – Sunday, On Call
• Rounding: Both assigned and unassigned patients
• Patients Per Shift: 10-15
• Resident or teaching supervision required
• Facility provides all capabilities, such as Interventional Radiology labs, etc., needed for the surgeon
