Critical Care Physician

Our client in the Anchorage Metropolitan Area is currently looking for locums Critical Care Physician to join their team for daytime coverage.

Requirements:

• Must be Board Certified
• Must already be AK licensed
• Fellowship preferred
• Must be comfortable with Traumas, CCV, thoracic surgery, IABP, various ventilators & other lifesaving treatments. 
• Confidence with CRRT a plus. 

Practice Details:

• Practice Setting: Inpatient
• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only. This is a need for coverage of the facility’s 14-bed ICU for daytime coverage. The hospitalist group currently provides coverage at night.  The ideal scenario will be a provider offering 7-12 consecutive shifts per month. 
• Hours/Shifts: Monday – Sunday, 12 hours.
• Rounding: Assigned Patients
• Patients Per Shift: 7
• Facility has a high acuity for a 74-bed hospital, they have CRRT, IABP, variety of ventilator treatment options, bronchoscopy availability, and more. The team performs daily multidisciplinary care rounds in the unit, to include RT, Pharmacy, Nursing, and ICU Doc. They have an active surgical staff that refers patients to the service for collaboration on medical issues, cardiology service, and provide care for many trauma patients.  This provider will collaborate well with the ER physicians as well as the Hospitalist group.
